Waste Less. Feed More.
The problem
- Currently, food waste is contributing 8% of the global greenhouse gas emissions. This is largely because food that ends up in landfills and decomposes releases carbon dioxide and methane
- We throw away 40% of our food supply, which equates to an estimated 125-160 billion pounds of food each year. Even though most wasted food is still edible, 144 million people in the United States are food insecure
- Americans generate more food waste than any other country.
The Solution

- In partnership with Second Harvest, local stores, farmers and other organizations, we specialize in rescuing perfectly good, quality food that would otherwise go unused. This food, rich in both nourishment and taste, is then shared with our community, ensuring that everyone has access to healthy, delicious meals.
